About This Project
We have done work for this client a few times now, and we were excited when we got the call for this one. This Mclaren 675LT is a super rare high performance model limited to 500 vehicles. This particular example had orange seat inserts and orange stitching to match the brake calipers.
When it came to the shop, it had some minor dirt and grime from driving, but the entire car was previously wrapped in clear bra. We performed a thorough hand wash and looking the clear bra over to make sure there were no problems.
After a good wash, the car came into the tint bay. We took every precaution to not get the alcantara interior wet, masking off all interior panels. We used our 3M colorstable 20% window film on this one. We let the edges hang over and dry on the doors, then “shaved” the edges for a factory look all the way to the edge of the glass.
After tint, the vehicle was brought into the Ceramic coating bay, where our specialist began the coating process. Since there is paint protection film on the whole car, there was no need to polish. We installed a layer of a Ceramic pro product specifically designed to protect paint protection film, and finished it off with the Ceramic pro top coat.
